John Joseph ‘Jack’ Stefanko

John Joseph “Jack” Stefanko, 84, Portage, passed away Saturday. He was born in Windber, the son of John E. and Gertrude (Funfar) Stefanko. Deceased family members include his parents; son, James Stefanko; and sister, Andrea Bukovsky. Jack is survived by his wife, Louise; children: Kelly Randall, John, Katrina Macchia and Kerry Martin; several grandchildren; and siblings: Mark, James and Gertrude Stefanko. Friends will be received from 9 until the 10 a.m. funeral Mass Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Holy Family Parish, Portage. Arrangements are by Serenko-Claar Funeral Home PC, Portage.

George Banks

George Banks, 86, of Ebensburg, died March 20, 2025, at home, surrounded by family. He was born July 8, 1938, in South Fork, son of the late Thomas and Alberta (Stigerts) Banks. He was preceded in death by stepdaughter, Kimberly Stephens; and sister, Betty Seashore. He is survived by wife, the former LaVerne Farabaugh; three daughters and several grandchildren. George was the last member of his immediate family. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 25 years’ service. At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. ...

Judy Bidoli passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025, in Darien, Ga. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late James and Betty (Baum) Ranelli. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald. They married at Sacred Heart Church on June 2, 1962. They met in second and third grade at Sacred Heart School and grew up together. Marianne F. Donnelly, 80, Altoona, passed away Saturday morning after an extended illness. Marianne was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Modico) Russo. On May 21, 1966, she married Gerald W. “Jerry” Donnelly. Surviving are her loving husband; a daughter, Pam A.
