Thomas W. O’Shell, 78, of Antis Township, died early Sunday morning at Hilltop Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Altoona. He was born in Altoona, a son of the late Harold T. and Ruth M. (McCaulley) O’Shell. On May 4, 1968, he married Joyce A. Lightner at Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Altoona. Surviving are his beloved wife; a daughter, Betsy (Keith) Cron; two grandchildren, Thomas and Ruthie Cron; his brother, Robert (Debbie) O’Shell; and a sister-in-law, Donna O’Shell. Larry E. Park, 70, of Altoona, died Friday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Charles and Ethel (Feathers) Park. Surviving are his wife, Connie; children: John Ermin Jr., Kristina Bartley and Larry Park; grandchildren: Olivia Bartley, Hannah Bartley, Sophia Park, Ryder Park and Leah Bartley; and siblings: Linda Burchfield, Kathleen Harr, Sandra Tomlinson and Allen Park. Larry was preceded in death by brothers, Curtis and Douglas Park. Friends and family will gather to remember Larry from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2025, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.

Bernice L. Peterman Smith, 92, Shrewsbury, Pa., passed away early Sunday morning, April 20, 2025, at SpiriTrust Lutheran, The Village at Shrewsbury. Family and friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2025, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., 719 N. Fourth Ave., Altoona; and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery. Nancy E. Pittman, 86, of Oakland, Calif., formerly of Altoona, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Milford M. and Bertha V. (Johnson) Pittman. Nancy is survived by her two daughters, Rhonda Pittman Hart of Oakland, Calif., and Brenda P. John of Harrisburg; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Herman Addison; and her siblings.
