Mary Elizabeth (Parlier) Helsel

Mary Elizabeth (Parlier) Helsel, 96, of Wells Tannery, died Monday. She was born in Robertsdale, daughter of Joseph and Melva (Greenawalt) Parlier. After Mary’s birth, her mother died. Her adopted mother was Rhoda Parlier. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; and siblings: Melvin, Beverly, Carmen and Josie. Mary is survived by her children: Joseph, Eva Ritchey, Byron and David; and several grandchildren. Visitation is from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Wells Tannery Presbyterian Church. Arrangements by Akers Funeral Home, Everett.

Charlotte “Jean” Riley, 87, of Bellwood, died Tuesday afternoon at her home. She was born in Doylesburg, a daughter of the late Sylvester E. and Mae E. (Hockenberry) Wolfe. On March 29, 1958, she married Richard “Dick” Riley in Bellwood. He preceded her in death on June 3, 2007. Surviving are her three sons: Jim (Kelly), Ron and Sean (Rhonda) Riley; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Charles (Linda) Wolfe and Deborah (Larry) Lamarre.
