Jamie S. Dodson, 69, Altoona, formerly of Claysburg, passed away Wednesday evening. She was born in Roaring Spring, a daughter of the late James and Opal (Benton) Dodson. She is survived by her husband, Kirk; a daughter, Hillary Doran; stepdaughters: Jessica Beichler and Krista Beichler; a granddaughter, Mackenzie Spahn; a sister, Marian Bridges; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Raven. At the request of the deceased, no public services will be held. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Altoona.

Carl Edwin Evans, 92, of Martinsburg, passed away Thursday morning at Homewood at Martinsburg. He was born in Duncansville, son of the late Neff Foster and Fannie (Perrin) Evans. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Donna; two children: Valerie Adamchak and Mark Evans. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia “Patty” Cummings; and three brothers: William, James and George Evans. Our precious baby girl, Shylin Davayah Floyd, was born sleeping on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 6:31 a.m. at Magee-Women’s Hospital. Shylin was the deeply cherished and long-awaited daughter of Shyanne Weyandt and David Floyd. Though her time on earth was brief, she was embraced in a world of love.
