Thomas R. Bookhamer, 93, Antis Township, died Tuesday at UPMC Altoona. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2025, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. A complete obituary will appear in Saturday-Sunday’s Mirror.

James K. Phelan

James K. Phelan, 55, of Claysburg, formerly of Altoona, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at home. Arrangements are by Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. A complete obituary will appear in the Mirror at a later date.

Valli Marie McKnight

Valli Marie McKnight, 76, of Altoona, died Sunday. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Hagan) McKnight. She is survived by children, Cameron Sickenberger, married to Kathryn, and Heather Jackson. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Charlie and Richard McKnight. Valli was a graduate of Bellwood Antis High School and most recently attended church at her residence at Garvey Manor. Valli's final wishes were that her remains be donated to science. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.

Olive A. Eicher

Olive A. Eicher, 85, a resident of Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg, formerly of Queen, passed away Tuesday at home. She was born in Claysburg, daughter of the late Randall C. and Pearl (Bailey) Zembower. She married Sterling L. Eicher on Jan. 26, 1957, in Cumberland, Md. He passed away Oct. 20, 1998. Surviving are daughters, Kathy Burket and husband, Tim, of Queen and Kim Claar and husband, Eric, of Imler; a son, Kirk Eicher and wife, Beth Ann, of Nanty Glo; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Connie Norris and husband, Dan, of Hollidaysburg. Kathleen M. ‘Bunny’ Glunt

Kathleen M. “Bunny” Glunt, 88, of Altoona, died unexpectedly early Saturday morning at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Theodore Brobeck, who died when she was very young while serving during World War II, and Clara M. (Bettwy) Brobeck Himes. She was raised by her stepfather, the late Paul S. Himes, whom she loved as a father. On June 14, 1958, she married Henry E. “Hank” Glunt at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Altoona.
