Barbara J. Wicker, 78, Altoona, died unexpectedly on Friday at home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Herman and Ruth (Claar) Wicker. Surviving are two grandsons, Adam Pfiester and Devin Carper; and four siblings: Shirley Ickes, Carol Lee, Ruth Yingling and Herman Wicker Jr. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tiffany Carper; and a brother, Jesse Wicker. Barbara was a 1966 graduate of Altoona Area High School. She retired from C-COR Electronics. At Barb’s request, there will be no public services. He is survived by his children: James, Michael, Katie and Charlotte; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, James; and a sister, Leona.
