Ellen DeYulius

She was born in Gallitzin, a daughter of the late Domenico and Vincenza (D’Alessandro) Crocetti.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pasquale “Patsy” DeYulius; infant brother, Joseph; brother, Mario D Crocetti; and sisters: Edith Pelliccioni, Stella Petta, and Ann DiGuiseppe. She is survived by her son, Salvatore “Sam” (Donna) DeYulius, Cresson; a sister, Gilda Eggerstorfer; a granddaughter, Vanessa (James) Wade; a stepgrandson, John (Monica) Wisniewski; and great-grandchildren: Armani, Jacob, Eli, Ashton and Ezren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ellen, along with her husband, was the owner of the Stopville Inn Bar and Restaurant in Ebensburg. She enjoyed bowling, pinochle and spending time with her family.

Our family would like to thank Asera Care Hospice; especially Michelle, Courtney, Erika, Ally, Angie and Duane, and the entire staff for all that you did to enable our mom to be at home. We would also like to give a special thanks to Betty and Kasey, our special care givers, and a special thanks to Mrs. Kevin McMullen, Eucharist Minister from St. Aloysius, for all the spiritual guidance and prayers during this time.

Friends will be received from 4 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, at Gibbons-Houser Funeral Home Inc., 301 Church Street, Gallitzin. Ellen was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Cresson, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, with the Rev. Leo Arnone, celebrant.
