Virginia Blanchard, 97, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Tuesday. She was born in Fords, N.J., to late parents, Marcel and Mary (Samsoe) Bonalsky. Virginia is survived by her son, Mark Blanchard, of Bay Shore, N.Y.; and two grand­children, Brandon and Christopher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Blanchard. Robert Donald “Bob” Hostler, 81, of Tyrone, passed away Tuesday surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Altoona to late parents, Bernard Blair and Betty Emma (Nelson) Hostler. Bob graduated from Bellwood-Antis High School in 1962 and went on to proudly serve his country as an avionics technician in the United States Army, stationed in Germany. Friends will be received from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held.
