Robert Stanley O’Shell, 75, a lifetime resident of Bellwood, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 1, 2026, after an extended illness.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Deborah Ann (Yohn) O’Shell; children: Sean (Lisa), Colleen (David) and April; grandchildren: Cameron (Michelle), Bailey, Emilee (Levi), Hunter, Kami (Jimmy), Drew, Brennan, McKinley and McKenzie; and a great-grandson, Howie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Thomas and Ruth Mae (McCaulley) O’Shell; and two brothers, Lee “Butch” and Thomas O’Shell.
Robert was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fly fishing, fly tying, cooking and gardening.
He was a member of Hillside Community Church, Bellwood. Robert loved serving his Lord and Savior, which was shown in many ways by serving others at church camps, his local library and as a Deputy Wildlife Conservation Officer with the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
He was dearly loved by many nieces, nephews, his brothers and sisters-in-law and many friends and neighbors.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until noon on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Hillside Community Church, Bellwood. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2026, at the church, with the Rev. Kevin O’Shell officiating.
Arrangements are by Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood.
