Richard N. Scritchfield, 77, of Duncansville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday. He was born in Claysburg, son of the late Chester and Anna (Glass) Scritchfield.
He married Donna Grove in 1971.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years; a son, Todd, of Lilly; two brothers, Warren (Linda) of Shrewsbury and Chester in North Carolina; and a sister, Jeannee Coco (Angelo) in Illinois.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George; and sister, Larue Walker.
Richard graduated from Claysburg High School in 1966 and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.
He retired from General Refractories in 2014 after 47 years as a laborer.
Richard attended Dry Run Independent Baptist Church and enjoyed woodworking, building and yard work.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until noon on Monday April 13, 2026, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at noon.
Private interment will be at Alto-Reste Park.
