Miriam P. ‘Peg’ Campbell
July 30, 1930 – April 2, 2026
Miriam P. “Peg” Campbell, 95, of Bellwood, died early Thursday morning at Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg. She was born in Bellwood, daughter of the late Clyde and Pauline (Woomer) Barr.
On Feb. 25, 1947, she married Howard J. “Sonny” Campbell in Cumberland, Md. He preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 2010.
Surviving are her three children: Howard J. “Jim” (Patrice) Campbell III, Mary Lou (David) Moody and Amy (Ray) Zettle; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and brothers, Duane and Ken Hollen.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Skillings.
Peg was a member of Covenant Community Church, Bellwood.
She enjoyed Sunday dinners with her family and summer vacations to Kippewa with her husband, where they enjoyed fishing and picking blueberries.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2026, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Pastor Josh Crumlich officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
The family suggests that contributions in Peg’s memory be made to Covenant Community Church, Bellwood.
