Arlene A. Weller

Arlene married C. David Gehret in 1957.

She was a 1958 graduate of Altoona High School.

After high school, Arlene worked at Sylvania, where she won the Queen of Sylvania beauty contest. She finished her career as the office manager at Dean

Patterson Motors after more than 20 years of dedication to the business. Arlene also served as Vice-President of the Belair Circle Apartments for 25 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Wright (Barry); son, David Gehret (Sandy); son-in-law, Robert Madigan; brother, Joseph Geissinger (Sylvia); grandchildren, Marissa Rhoads (Tanner) and R. Garrett Madigan (Gabby); great-grandchildren, Tucker and Maddox Rhoads; nieces: Cindy Gehret, Leah Geissinger and Kari Klinefelter; nephews, Joseph Geissinger and Travus Gehret; cousins, Christopher Mastrocola and Carole Ann Confer; and favorite furbaby companion, Bella Sue.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Regina Wolf; and brother-in-law, James Wolf.

She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Lakemont.

Arlene enjoyed gardening and maintaining the yard at her home, road trips, summers in Myrtle Beach, weekends at the cottage at Lake Raystown and spending time at the pool with family and friends. She never missed a sporting event that involved one of her children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with her family.

She will be dearly missed by everyone that knew and loved her.

Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona, with Father Michael Pleva officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Arlene’s name may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital at (donate.shrinerschildrens.org).
