Haider Mohammedali Rajpar, 86, Altoona, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Ndanda, Tanzania, son of the late Mohammedali and Rubab (Somji) Rajpar.
Surviving are his wife, Shamim (Roberta J. “Bobbie” Harter) Rajpar; daughters: Rashida and husband, Chris Larkin, and Yasmin and husband, Tyler Franklin; grandchildren: Meena Larkin, Sophia Larkin, Isaiah Franklin, Silas Franklin and Micah Franklin; and his many siblings.
Haider was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Robert and Eleanore Harter.
Haider retired in 2020 from Tri-Star Motors, Blairsville, working in auto sales.
He enjoyed watching futbol and traveling internationally. Haider was also very involved with his family’s Mitsubishi Motors dealership in Tanzania.
At Haider’s request, there will be no viewing. A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2026.
