Addie N. Lynch

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Charles F. and Effie (Jones) Resides. On March 23, 1952, she married Frederick R. Lynch. He preceded her in death on July 19, 2022.

She is survived by her daughter, Nadine Vogel (Bob) of Manassas, Va.; two grandchildren, Brittany Henry (Matt) of Manassas, Va., and Brady Vogel of Dallas, Texas; a great-granddaughter, Hailey Henry; and two sisters, Effie Whitfield and Kathleen Koller, both of Altoona.

She was preceded in death by her son, Frederick D. “Freddie” Lynch; and a sister, Sally Schlect.

She was a graduate of Altoona High School.

Addie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed working on puzzles, going to Altoona Curve games, traveling and bus trips, playing Bingo and going out to eat with Fred at their favorite restaurants.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona. A funeral service for Addie will immediately follow at noon in the Memorial Chapel of the Stevens Mortuary, Pastor Brian Sandell, officiant. Committal will be at Alto-Reste Park.
