Shirley Burket

She married Woodrow Burket Jr., who preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 1983.

She is survived by a son, Randy Burkett and wife, Sheryl, of Altoona; a daughter, Susan Noel of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren: Jenna Burkett and fiance, Simon Harris, of Raleigh, N.C.; Jarryd Burkett and wife, Kelly Jo, of Altoona; Dana Smith of Pittsburgh; and Brandi Noel of Tampa, Fla.; great-grandchildren: Violet Smith, JJ Shuta, Lacey, Levie, Nevaeh, Williow, Paris and Ryan and Myles Burkett; and a sister, Nancy Jane Strawbridge. She is also survived by her loving companion, Allen Moorhead.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Wilmer Stiffler; and sister-in-law, Annabelle Stiffler.

Shirley was a 1958 graduate of Bedford High School. She worked at Butterick Co. Inc. before retiring and spending more than 20 years as a greeter at Walmart in East Freedom, where she was well known.

At the request of the deceased, no public services will be held. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Altoona.
