Neugebauer
Timothy E. Neugebauer, 64, of Erie, formerly of Altoona, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday at a family camp, “The Promised Land” in Edinboro. He was born in Altoona, a son of Margaret (Miller) Neugebauer and the late Eugene Neugebauer.
Timothy “Tim” was a graduate of Altoona Area High School, Class of 1978. Tim worked for Longo Plumbing for many years, continuing his career at Lowe’s in the plumbing department.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was an avid fisherman and hunter, who enjoyed hunting with his family at their camp. Tim loved cheering for the Pittsburgh Penguins and attending games with his two children, cheering and waving his rally towel to victory.
Tim touched many lives throughout his lifetime — to know him was to know a great man. His genuine kindness and love for life were apparent at all times. He could always make someone crack a smile or laugh. There are endless memories that his family and friends will hold near to their hearts, including feats of strength, volunteering at Zabawa and cracking a cold one with his loved ones.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his two children, Lacey Neugebauer and Leo Neugebauer (fiancee, Sydnie); and their mother, Debra Brown-Neugebauer, all of Erie; his siblings: Thomas Neugebauer (Tammy), Patricia Faith (Herman “Peppy” Woolridge), Karen Neugebauer, Kimberly Farster (Douglas) and Gina Layton (Robert), all of Altoona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may call from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at noon on Friday, Nov. 8, 2024, at Russell C. Schmidt and Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road, Erie. Burial will be private at Mary Queen of Peace Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made online to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research at (www.MichaelJFox.org).
