Mary C. ‘Cathy’ Stapleton

On July 28, 1973, she married Robert “Wayne” Stapleton at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bellwood.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years; two daughters, Heather A. (Shawn) Reimer and Holly M. (Bryan) Hollenbach; her granddaughter, Avery Reimer; a brother, Richard (Nancy) Wertz; and several special nieces, great nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly (Wertz) Green.

Cathy will always be remembered as a sweet, loving and generous person.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, crafting, flower gardening and her fishpond.

In keeping with Cathy’s wishes, there will be no public viewing, visitation or funeral service.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.

Arrangements are by Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood.

To honor her character, the family suggests that contributions in her memory be made to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602; or Mending Hearts Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 97, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
