Joyce K. Miller, 86, a resident of Garvey Manor Nursing Home, formerly of Hollidaysburg, died Wednesday at the Home. She was born in Betterton, Md., daughter of the late Walter and Katherine (Jamar) Greenwood. She married Gary L. Miller in 1987. He preceded her in death in 2020.
Surviving are seven children: Debbie Yingling (Jeff), Teresa Bennett (Bill), Vicki Mainello (Joe), Bill Stell (Joni), Angela Lombardi (Patrick), Michael Stell (Nancy) and Jon Stell (Jolene); 24 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two stepchildren, Missie Miller and Erik Miller.
She was preceded in death by a great-great-granddaughter, Quinn Emery; and two sisters, Patricia Bontreger and Barbara Higgins.
Joyce was a graduate of Caesar Rodney High School in Dover, Del. She retired from Home Nursing Agency, where she was a home healthcare worker.
She enjoyed assisting her husband at Civil War reenactments, crocheting and making blankets, doing word puzzles and spending time with her grandkids.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Duncansville. Interment will take place at Blair Memorial Park.
