Robert William Nelson

He married Pauline E. Smith on July 29, 1977.

Surviving are his wife, Pauline; a son, Brian Nelson of Tyrone; two grandchildren, Kailey and Xander Nelson; a brother, Charles Arthur Nelson (Kay); a sister-in-law, Sue Nelson of Williamsport; brother-in-law, Paul Smith and his wife of Warriors Mark; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Lester Espy; and his loving dog, Daisy.

Robert was serving as a Snyder Township Supervisor for the last 18 years and was a member of the Tyrone Fire Police.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam era.

Robert had worked at Big Yank in maintenance and at WalMart in the produce department.

He enjoyed farming, growing up on the family farm.

There will be no viewing. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at noon Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, at Tyrone Alliance Church on Adams Ave., with the Rev. Carl A. Schmidt Sr. officiating.

Military Honors with a Flag Presentation will follow.
