Members of the Logan Township Supervisors board mourned one of their own during their Thursday meeting. Member Patrick T. Jones died from an accident on his farm about 3:15 p.m. Thursday afternoon, chairman James Patterson said while holding back tears. Jones was a retired Magisterial District judge, serving 39 years as the longest tenured judge in Blair County history, according to a Mirror article published in 2019. Memory care facility gets nod for Duncansville location

Blair County Planning Commission members Thursday gave a favorable review to plans to construct a 42-room memory care assisted living facility at 178 Meadowbrook Lane, Duncansville. Plans for Fountains at Duncansville also call for a parking lot and on-site stormwater management features. Access to the site is a proposed bidirectional easement off Meadowbrook Lane. This access point opens onto a 23,090-square-foot asphalt parking area with 20 paved parking spaces, including two ADA accessible spaces.
