Service remembers patriot, Loysburg founder

An America250 Remembrance service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the grave site of Martin Loy Sr., who is the founder of Loysburg and is considered to be a patriot of the revolutionary era. The cemetery where he is buried is owned and operated by the Loysburg Cemetery Association, which is sponsoring the event. The Fort Bedford Honor Guard and the Bedford Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution are expected to participate.
