John H. Shade, 81, formerly of Altoona, passed away July 28, 2025, in Taveras, Fla., after a brief illness. He was the son of John and Betty (Yahner) Shade of Altoona. Surviving is a son, Shannon (Kimberly); five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah (Kruise); and a son, John R. There will be no services at this time.

Wayne H. ‘Clem’ Snyder

Wayne H. “Clem” Snyder, 84, of Williamsburg, passed away Wednesday. He was born in Pittsburgh, son of the late Harold M. and Margaret “Peg” (Ziegler) Snyder. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy. Surviving is a son, Doug Snyder; sister, Peggy Longenecker; grandsons, Andy and Ben Snyder; cousin, Linda Dilling; as well as several nephews and a niece. Friends will be received from 1 until the 3 p.m. funeral service Monday, Aug. 11, 2025, at Fink & Stone Funeral Home, Williamsburg, with Pastor Lee Seese officiating. Interment will be in the Williamsburg Presbyterian Cemetery.
