A Bedford man is behind bars after allegedly sexually assaulting a juvenile female dozens of times over the course of three years.

Sean Tyler Miller, 20, was arraigned Tuesday by Magisterial District Judge Tonya M. Osman on 40 felony counts of aggravated indecent assault, 40 misdemeanor counts of indecent assault and related charges. Unable to post $500,000 bail, he was remanded to the Bedford County Correctional Facility.

A man walked into the state police station at Bedford about 8:20 p.m. Monday to report a possible sexual assault involving a juvenile female and Miller. The man said the victim told him something sexual happened between her and Miller but didn’t disclose any details, according to the affidavit of probable cause.

Officers then interviewed the victim, who said Miller began sexually assaulting her in the summer of 2022 and continued until Saturday. She said Miller was always bigger than her, so he was able to pin her down. She approximated it happening between 30 and 40 times. The victim said Miller told her if she told anyone, he would kill her, the police report stated.

In an interview, Miller initially denied having any sexual contact with the victim. After further questioning, Miller allegedly admitted to having a sexual relationship with the victim. He said they touched each other sexually about four or five times, with the last time being a few months ago, the report stated.

Miller is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Kevin R. Diehl on July 23.
