Northwest reports income
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Northwest Bancshares Inc. announced net income for the quarter ended Dec. 31 of $33 million, or $0.26 per diluted share. This represents an increase of $4 million compared to the same quarter last year, when net income was $29 million, or $0.23 per diluted share, and a decrease of $1 million compared to the prior quarter, when net income was $34 million, or $0.26 per diluted share.
The company’s board of directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.20 per share payable on Feb. 14 to shareholders of record as of Feb. 3.
Northwest Bancshares Inc. is the bank holding company of Northwest Bank. As of Dec. 31, Northwest operated 130 full-service financial centers and 11 free-standing drive-up facilities in Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio and Indiana.
Tater Totz back at Sheetz
Sheetz announced Tuesday its Tater Totz are officially back by popular demand. The totz have returned following a year-and-a-half-long hiatus.
The Tater Totz have been a beloved indulgence for customers since their debut. The menu item is available now at all of Sheetz’s 750-plus locations across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia. The totz come in a cup for $4.49 or a bucket for $5.59.
Crumbl sets opening date
Crumbl will open for business Feb. 7 at 190 Falon Lane in Logan Town Centre.
Crumbl, which is known for extravagant takes on classic cookies, was founded in 2017 when the first shop opened in Logan, Utah, according to the company website.
Since opening its doors, Crumbl has expanded to more than 1,000 bakeries, making it the fastest-growing cookie company in the U.S. The company employs more than 29,000 workers and sells more than one million cookies every day.
UGI seeks rate increase
UGI Utilities, Inc. – Gas Division has filed a request with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission to increase its base rates for residential, commercial and industrial customers by $110.4 million annually. The requested increase would recover UGI’s ongoing costs related to system improvements and operations.
If the company’s entire request is approved, the total bill for a residential heating customer using 73.7 ccf per month would increase from $104.47 to $115.74 per month or by 10.8%.
UGI’s filing includes over $786 million in investments for improvements to its natural gas distribution system, facilities and information technology, which are not reflected in current rates.
UGI Utilities, Inc. – Gas Division serves more than 700,000 customers in 46 counties across Pennsylvania.
