Bedford pair facing charges in fatal overdose

Fix, Corle accused of drug delivery resulting in death

A couple who were being held in the Bedford County Correctional Facility now face charges in Huntingdon County for the fatal overdose of a Shade Gap man.

According to court documents, Dalton Price, 31, was found dead at his home along Groghan Pike on Jan. 14.

An autopsy conducted the next day revealed the presence of fentanyl, norfentanyl and xylazine in his system at the time of death, the report states. The autopsy report stated Price’s death was caused by a drug overdose due to fentanyl, police reported.

During the investigation, police reviewed Price’s Facebook records and discovered conversations between Price and Tyler Allen Fix, 33.

Those messages show the two setting a time and place for Price to purchase drugs, the report states.

Facebook conversations between Price and Victoria Lee Corle, 37, also appear to be about Price purchasing drugs.

Police obtained Facebook records for Fix and Corle showing multiple conversations related to the selling of narcotics, court documents state.

In a May 31 interview with police, Fix allegedly admitted that he and Corle sell narcotics in the Fulton County area out of Johnnies Motel.

Fix said the two would buy the drugs in Baltimore, but he didn’t know exactly what drugs as they would buy “scramble” capsules and bring them back to the area to sell, police reported. Fix stated that Corle would mix, weigh and package the drugs while he would deliver them.

He also told police he sold drugs to Price on multiple occasions. He was shown the specific conversation between Price and himself that took place on Jan. 13 and told police he remembered the conversation.

Police also interviewed Corle, who said she remembered speaking with Price via Facebook but never met him. She then declined to answer additional questions, police reported.

Fix and Corle were arraigned Friday before Magisterial District Judge Lisa Marie Covert in Huntingdon County. Each faces felony charges of drug delivery resulting in death, possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility, along with a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance.

Bail was set at $500,000 each and they were remanded to the Huntingdon County Prison.

Their preliminary hearings are set for June 14 before Covert.

Starting at $2.99/week.
