PennDOT holding public meeting
PennDOT will have a meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. April 21 at Altoona’s Training Facility and Council Chambers, 1320 Washington Ave.
PennDOT is developing plans for the Route 764, Sixth Avenue and Seventh Street Intersection Improvements Project in Altoona.
The project includes the addition of a 75-foot left-turn lane along Sixth Avenue at Seventh Street and traffic signal improvements for the proposed left turn lane. Also included are milling and overlay, modifications to lane designations and pavement markings and signing on Seventh Street between Seventh and Chestnut avenues.
New overhead signs will be installed on the Seventh Street bridge.
The meeting is to provide the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed project. Representatives from PennDOT will be available to answer questions and receive comments regarding the project.
