Man arrested in shooting

CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield man is in custody following a shooting at his residence Thursday afternoon.
Lawrence Township police report that Willard Nimrod Fyock, 68, shot a 55-year-old woman multiple times. When police arrived on scene at the SW Fourth Avenue home, they immediately took him into custody.
The victim was transported to UPMC Altoona for treatment, according to a press release.
Fyock, who is in the Clearfield County Jail, will be arraigned on charges of criminal attempt-criminal homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
