Earleen F. Rice

Earleen F. Rice, 62, Cresson, passed away Monday surrounded by her loved ones at home. She was born in Nyack, N.Y., daughter of the late John W. Sr. and Patricia A. (Elig) Gorba.
Earleen was preceded in death by siblings, John W. Gorba Jr. and Laura A. Gorba.
Surviving are her children, Roseann M. (Jason) Farabaugh and James R. Rice IV; sisters: Patricia L. (Michael) McConnell, Mary E. (Steven) Gongloff, Paula J. Gorba and Kelly J. (John) Fortney; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Earleen graduated from Penn Cambria High School in 1982. She then went on to earn her associate degree.
She retired as a Residential Service Aide from the Ebensburg Center.
In her spare time, Earleen enjoyed reading and doing word puzzles. Most importantly, she cherished spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 233 Keystone Ave., Cresson, with the Rev. Justin Treon celebrant. Private inurnment will be at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Cresson.
