— Blair Regional YMCA in Hollidaysburg is closing and its Early Learning Center/School Age Child care through
March 29. staff available from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today to allow members to retrieve any belongings left in lockers.
— Providence Presbyterian Church, 2401 Broad Ave., Altoona, has canceled its free luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 21.

— The Tuesday meetings of Keystone Country Composite Squadron 1504 at the Pennsylvania National Guard Readiness Center in Duncansville are canceled. In addition, the annual open house usually held at the end of April will be rescheduled at a later date.
— The Cove Community Chorus Spring concert scheduled for March 28 and 29 at the Spring Cove Middle School has been postponed. A new date will be announced once the schools reopen. For questions contact director Tom Kunkle at 312-3897 or kunkskorner@yahoo.com.

— All CSB2 STEM Subcommittee meetings at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College that were scheduled for this week have been canceled.
— The local branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 778 Brush Mountain Road, Hollidaysburg, has suspended services until further notice. This includes Sunday worship services, conferences and any church-related activities. Local members will be kept up to date on their Altoona Ward Facebook page and with weekly emails from leadership. — The Hope Drop-In Center will suspend gatherings on Monday and Thursday from March 16-30. For more information, email hopedropin 16603@gmail.com.
— The Pinecroft Fire Department’s annual Spring Craft/Vendor Show and Chicken Barbecue scheduled for March 22 has been cancelled. It has been rescheduled for May 3. For more information, call 943-3704 or 329-4539.
— The Wednesday Lenten lunches at Wehnwood United Methodist church have been canceled for the next two weeks. For more information, call the church office at 942-6081 or email wehn woodumc@gmail.com.
— The Blair County Planning Commission implemented its Stage One Mitigation Measures in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. This enables employees to work at home. For plan drop-off and final signatures, call 693-2080, ext. 1, to make arrangements.
— The 57th Judicial District in Bedford County has implemented policies in the Common Pleas Courts, Magisterial District Judge Courts and court-related departments such as Probation and Parole and Domestic Relations. While these courts/offices will remain open at the present time, the public is requested to limit their visits to only those necessary. Courtroom galleries shall be limited to one-third of normal capacity. Additional designated waiting areas, including outdoor areas, will be available for those waiting for court access.
— Blue Knob All Seasons Resort closed down ski operations Friday because of the state mandate that includes Blue Knob State Park as much of the winter sports facility is on state park land. The Blue Knob Clubhouse, golf course and condominiums are not affected by the closure.
— The Small Business Administration is postponing Boots to Business Reboot scheduled for Wednesday at Penn State’s Altoona LaunchBox.
— Rep. Jim Gregory, R-Hollidaysburg, has postponed a farmers breakfast planned for Friday.
— Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art, Altoona, canceled Wicked Wednesday on March 25.
— Penn State University’s production of “Carmen” starring Bellwood resident Claire DeArmitt has been canceled for 7:30 p.m. March 27 and 2 p.m. March 29 at Eisenhower Auditorium, University Park.
— The Altoona Curve Booster Club’s Curve FanFest scheduled for April 7 has been canceled.
— All support groups and events open to the public and held on Homewood at Martinsburg’s campus are canceled until further notice.
— Visitors of Greenwood Furnace, Whipple Dam and Penn-Roosevelt state parks are advised that effective immediately, all public programs through the end of April have been canceled.
— The Order of the Eastern Star has canceled its spaghetti dinner scheduled for March 21.
— The Central Pennsylvania Country Dance Association has canceled its Contra Dance scheduled for March 20, at the State College Friends School.
— Friday night Lenten seafood buffets and bingo are canceled until further notice at St. Patrick’s Parish.
— Penn State Altoona’s presentation of “The 39 Steps” scheduled for March 26-28, has been rescheduled for April 14-16.
— St. Patrick’s Newry bingo on Saturday and Monday nights is canceled.
— Tyrone Hospital has canceled the Patient Safety event that was scheduled for today.
— The Johnstown Symphony Orchestra concert scheduled for 7:30 p.m. today at the Pasquerilla Performing Arts Center has been canceled.
— The K’NEX STEM Design Challenge planned for Tuesday at Mount Aloysius College, Cresson, has been canceled.
— Penn State Extension Master Gardener Program Blair County has canceled all Master Gardner programs, classes, meetings, work in demonstration gardens, plant sales and social gatherings. — The 2020 Fire Wardens banquet scheduled for Wednesday in Ebensburg has been canceled.

— The Pittsburgh Creative Arts Festival, scheduled at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Green Tree, March 20-23, has been postponed.

— The Spring Into the Arts event scheduled for April 4 in downtown Altoona has been canceled.
UNIVERSITIES
— Penn State University and the University of Pittsburgh are moving to online instruction and are asking students to remain off campus.
— Saint Francis University classes will move online effective Wednesday.
SPORTS
— The PIAA basketball tournament and swimming and diving championships have been delayed.
— The Altoona Curve season opener is delayed.
