Christine Lienau and Gage Rakes, both of Northern Virginia, exchanged wedding vows on April 4, 2026, in an outdoor ceremony at Dominion Valley Country Club in Haymarket, Va.

The ceremony was officiated by the bride’s mother, Deanne Bettwy Lienau of Altoona.

Christine is the granddaughter of Christine Bettwy also of Altoona.

Family and friends joined the couple at a reception immediately following the ceremony.

The newlyweds plan to make their home in Vienna, Va.

Christine, a summa cum laude graduate of Virginia Tech, earned her Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) credentials from Lincoln Memorial University and is employed at Luxe Dermatology, in McLean, Va.

Gage, a U.S. Army veteran, is a maintenance engineer at The Reserve in Tysons Corner, specializing in HVAC systems.

The couple plans to honeymoon in October on a Celebrity Cruise.
