Hail to Trails celebrates outdoor recreation

Hail to Trails, a free public event celebrating the region’s growing outdoor recreation opportunities and the 50th anniversary of the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail, will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at Peoples Natural Gas Park, 90 Johns St., downtown Johnstown. ROARING SPRING — Scott Zillinger, an electronic systems technician, was working at Central High School on March 5 when he collapsed loading equipment into his van. Quick actions by staff members using an AED device saved his life, Zillinger said Monday during the Spring Cove School District’s board meeting.
