Limited flights from UAE begin

LONDON — Several international airlines are resuming a small number of flights from the United Arab Emirates as war-driven airspace closures strand tens of thousands of travelers.
On Monday, Emirates, Etihad, and FlyDubai said they would operate select departures and arrivals after having suspended flights over the weekend.
Dubai officials are telling passengers to go to the airport only if contacted.

Cartel leader buried in golden casket
GUADALAJARA — The leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel has been buried in a shiny golden casket with enormous flower wreaths and a large military presence in the state that gave name to one of Mexico’s most powerful cartels.
A federal official confirmed Monday that Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias “El Mencho,” was buried in a cemetery in Zapopan, a suburb of Guadalajara, Mexico’s second-largest city.

Cuban gov’t detains 10 Panamanians
HAVANA — Cuba’s government says it has detained 10 Panamanian citizens it accused of creating subversive propaganda in the latest international incident involving the Caribbean island.
Monday’s announcement comes just days after a fatal shooting involving a U.S. boat in Cuban waters.
