Student gets scholarship for animal-related studies CHAMBERSBURG — The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) has awarded Wilson College a $6,000 grant to support scholarships for the 2025-26 academic year. This fall, three students pursuing careers in animal-related fields will benefit from TERF’s continued generosity. The TERF scholarship provides financial support to students majoring in equine studies, equine-facilitated therapeutics, veterinary nursing or animal studies. Local schools team up for Holiday Market

Charles W. Longer and Frankstown Elementary schools in Hollidaysburg are planning their Holiday Market event for Nov. 22. The shopping event takes place at both school locations from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. With more than 50 local vendors combined in both locations, bake sales and basket raffles, there is something for everyone.
