GACTC presents awards to nursing graduates
The Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center Practical Nursing Program conducted its 80th graduation ceremony Aug. 20 at the Altoona Area High School auditorium.
Forty-eight graduates were in attendance for the conferment of their diploma by Brian Bressler, chair of the GACTC Joint Operating Committee, and Rebecca Kelly, practical nursing program coordinator.
In addition, the valedictorian award was presented to Jenette Bruce of Ashville, the Work Ethic Award to Candice Gates of Roaring Spring, the Skills Award to Alyssa Spigelmyer of Williamsburg and Allison Chordas of Ebensburg, the Alice E. Garman Award to Michelle Ramsey of Duncansville, the Vol-unteer Award to Yvonne Moses of Sproul and the Mary Ann Allen Award to Alyssa Beck of Altoona.
