‘Old Salts’ to hold reunion Oct. 24 The newly formed Central PA “Old Salts” (formerly the Central PA Chapter of the Naval Enlisted Reserve Association) is sponsoring a reunion of all Navy, Coast Guard and Marine Reservists who drilled at NRC Altoona from 1947 to 1994. Their guests are also welcome to attend. The reunion will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Duncansville VFW Post. The Hollidaysburg Area Public Library has announced its activities for August. n Canasta and Mah Jongg games are held at 11 a.m. Mondays. Beginners are welcome. Note: there will be no games held on Aug. 31. n Maker Mondays are held all day Mondays in the Children’s Room.
