Patton club recognizes Gardens of Distinction

Each year, the Patton Garden Club explores the local communities searching out extraordinary home gardens. Categories can range from flower gardens to vegetable and herb gardens and are judged on design, visual effect and creativity. Gardens were also judged on maintenance and horticultural practices, plant variety, color and suitability of plantings. Blair Garden Club sets holiday social

Across the area Blair Garden Club sets holiday social Blair Garden Club will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at the American Legion Post 516 Social Hall, 1501 N. Juniata St., Hollidaysburg. This evening is the holiday social and members are to bring a $10 or less gift of a garden-related item for an exchange. There will also be games and prizes.
