The Cresson Public Library has announced its activities for the upcoming months. Pop-Up Craft Days: On Tuesdays, April 7 and April 21, children can stop by the library to make fun, Spring DIY crafts. All materials and instructions are provided for these DIYs on the table in the children’s section. Story Time and Activity Hour: Story Time will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturdays, April 11 and April 25, with a special round of Library Bingo on April 25. Tyrone Area FFA to host free celebration
The Tyrone Area FFA Chapter will hold its 88th annual Recognition and Awards Night on Thursday, April 9, at the Tyrone Area High School auditorium. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for the chapter’s first “Ag-tastic Student Showcase,” where guests can explore interactive displays highlighting student projects, leadership activities and Supervised Agricultural Experience programs. Group celebrates successful WineFest The Glendale Education Foundation Board of Directors met Monday, Feb. 23, at Josie’s Family Restaurant in Coalport to finalize preparations for its annual golf tournament fundraiser and celebrate recent successes in supporting local education. Golf Tournament Chairperson Ty Stackhouse announced that the 2026 tournament will take place on Friday, June 12, at the Sinking Valley Country Club near Bellwood.
