Cresson library sets programs for May
Cresson Public Library has announced its upcoming programs. The library will be closed on Saturday, May 23, and Monday, May 25, for Memorial Day. Pop-Up Craft Days: On Tuesdays, May 5 and May 19, children can stop by the library to make spring DIY crafts. All materials and instructions are provided. Blair Garden Club awards scholarships
The Blair Garden club has awarded two $1,000 scholarships to Blair County seniors whose career plans reflect the values and beliefs of the organization. The 2026 recipients are Ty Uplinger from Williamsburg Community and Norah Bechtel from Central High School. Uplinger is active in FFA and won the county land judging contest for the past two years and placed second as he advanced to the state competition.
