Genealogical society to host speaker

HOLLIDAYSBURG — The Blair County Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at Roller Hojeth Memorial Library, 431 Scotch Valley Road.

Current president, Jim Snyder Jr., will speak about the Adam Holliday Land story.

He became a member of the Blair County Genealogical Society in 1985 and is the current president. He was a past member of the Freedom Township Historical Society, the Old-Greenfield Township Historical Society and is currently a member of Historic Hollidaysburg Inc. and the Hollidaysburg Heritage Walking Tour.

The meeting is open and free to the public. The building is handicap accessible.
