Great Commission High School students are set to perform their version of “Singin’ in the Rain” at 7 p.m., March 20 to 21, on the Benzel Stage at the Mishler Theatre. Tickets are $17 and available Mishler box office and online at mishlertheatre.vbotickets.com/event/singin_in_the_rain/186663.
Based on the 1952 musical movie comedy, “Singin’ in the Rain” follows 1920s actors Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont, who are frequently cast together as a romantic pair during Hollywood’s transition between silent films and ‘talkies.’ When Lina’s singing voice proves too grating for their upcoming film, aspiring actress and Don’s romantic interest, Kathy Selden, steps up to record over Lina’s voice.
