Arts, crafts show postponed until this weekend at Baker
Due to the forecast of thundershowers, the Arts and Crafts Fair originally scheduled for July 11 at the Baker Mansion History Museum was postponed until July 18.
The fair will run from noon until 5 p.m., with a Charity Auction beginning at 2 p.m. All activities are free to the public.
The fair will include vendors selling hand-crafted artwork and home decor items, as well as artisanal food products.
The auction will feature original artwork and gift items that have been generously donated by local artists, crafters and businesses.
All proceeds from the auction will the operation and maintenance of the Baker Mansion History Museum.

PSECU webinar on financial success for college students
HARRISBURG — PSECU will offer a free educational webinar on July 20 to help participants understand the financial aid process and prepare for financial success while in college.
Open to members and nonmembers alike, the event will take place from noon to 1 p.m.
Participant registration is requested by 5 p.m. July 19.
“Heading off to college is an exciting time for students, but it may be the first time they’re managing finances on their own. This webinar will provide students and parents with tips and tools to achieve financial success throughout the upcoming academic year and beyond,” said PSECU President and CEO George Rudolph. “As a trusted financial partner for our members and the communities we serve, we want to make sure we provide the information necessary to support good money management decisions.”
The “3 Keys to Financial Success for College Students Webinar” will focus on the following areas and will conclude with an interactive question-and-answer period:
* Understanding financial aid
* How parents can support students
* Ways to save money on campus
“Please join us for this webinar and share the registration details with anyone else who may be interested,” said PSECU Financial Education Analyst Lisa Kennedy, who will present the webinar. “Attendance is open to all, even if they’re not a PSECU member.”
Hollidaysburg Borough sets Downtown Live Concert Series
HOLLIDAYSBURG — Thursday will be the kick-off of the popular Downtown Live Concert Series in Hollidaysburg Borough.
This summer concert series is free to the public and located on the Diamond of Hollidaysburg at the intersection of Montgomery Street and Allegheny Street.
The concerts will run from July to September and will be held at 6 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month.
The summer will kick off with the sounds of Bone Jacked, a local classic and Southern rock band. Many Hollidaysburg merchants maintain evening hours during the concert.
The remaining dates and performers for the series are Aug. 19 with Full Kilt and Sept. 16 with Felix & the Hurricanes.
