People my age remember what our parents fought against during World War II. The public knew about the rise of Adolf Hitler in Germany and his steps in taking over that country.
Day-by-day, he had blocked all opposition to his activities by controlling the media and outlawing all public gatherings. He declared citizens of specific nationalities as social problems. It soon became impossible to stop any of his illegal actions, no matter how unreasonable they became.
Sound familiar? It should, since our president is copying that same procedure.
The history of WWII should never be forgotten.
America is currently under siege by Trump who is relentlessly attacking the free press and targeting everyone who speaks out against him.
Never before has the office of the U.S. presidency been so disrupted. Trump's attacks on scientific research will cause a substantial setback on needed health and climate advances.
He has continued his chaos to distract from his main goal to secure a dictator position.
Republicans continue to let Trump proceed unopposed.
Trump has assembled his personal masked gestapo force designed for total control as he encourages us to turn against our neighbors and report them to him -- actions just as Hitler did prior to WWII.
I solemnly swore to support and defend our Constitution when I joined our country's military service. My loyalty is still to our country's Constitution.
Now is the time for real patriots to vote, voice, publish and peacefully protest against this overwhelming abuse of our Constitutional rights.
