Garrity better choice for governor

Stacy Garrity is simply the better choice in November’s governor race. Gon. Josh Shapiro now is leaning toward using the measles outbreak as reason to repeat the COVID rules, close down businesses, wear masks, enforcement including illegal search of home without the need for warrants. Despite controlling the House, Senate, White House and Supreme Court, Republicans can’t manage to accomplish anything for average Americans although they have no problem enriching the Mar-a-Lago class and serving the president. Senate won’t vote itself out of existence

Several members of the Democratic Socialists of America have won Democratic nominations for several offices. The party has proposed abolishing the Senate, the Presidency, the Electoral College, and the Supreme Court. They have not told us how they intend to do this. Couple’s generosity a reminder to pass it on

On Thursday, Aug. 27, my wife and I were at the checkout at the Altoona Giant Eagle as the couple in front of us had their items rung up. Then the cashier started ringing up our items. We thought there was some confusion. The gentleman said, “I am not confused at all. The Lord has been good to me.” The lady said, “We do this often.” They proceeded to pay for our order which was close to $80! Understandably, we were stunned and still are.
