Bruce Frederick Wise Sr.

Bruce Frederick Wise Sr., 74, Altoona, passed away Monday. He was born in Berea, Ohio, son of the late Irvin N. and Clara P. (Holtzworth) Wise. Surviving are his wife, Kathy; sons: Byron (Molly) and Bruce (Kim); grandchildren: Cody, Meranda, Dylan, Alayssa, Byron Jr., Michael, Monica, William and Grayson; great-grandchildren: Isobel, Tamara, Lily, River, Miles and Rajker; and sisters, Terrie Reed and Susan Gerwert. He was preceded in death by a sister, Eudora Musselman. Services will be private. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Altoona.

Betty J. Harbach, 97, of Bedford, formerly of Bellwood, entered into rest on Sunday at her home, surrounded by family. She was born in Greene Township, Clinton County, daughter of the late Allen E. and Dessie (Douty) Lamey. On March 20, 1948, she was united in marriage to the late Gene C. Harbach. Betty supported the war effort during World War II by working at Piper Aircraft Corp. in Lock Haven. She retired from Bellwood- Antis School District as the cafeteria manager. Nancy R. Savino, 87, of Altoona, passed away Saturday with loved ones around her. Nancy was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Joseph and Nina Lamancusa. She married Nick J. Savino on June 20, 1959. He passed away Oct. 10, 2009. Nancy was the mother of four children: Mary (Lance) Kilby of Culpeper, Va., and Louis, Joseph and Frank Savino of Altoona.
