Linda L. “Sis” (Hoffman) Holland, 72, of Altoona, died Friday at UPMC Altoona. Born in Roaring Spring, she was the daughter of the late Ralph H. Hoffman and Mary Lou (Nedimyer) Hoffman. She is survived by her daughter, Julia (Kris) Radel; three grandsons: Jacob, Shane and Joshua Foster; and two great-grandchildren, Elijah and Arabella Foster. Donald James “Jim” Simpson Jr., 69, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Sunday. Surviving are his wife, Pamela; daughters: Alaina Hunt, Tyesa Simpson, Trisha Whitsel, Angela Long and Georgia Hiles; nine grandchildren; best friend, Bob Muldoon; and a brother, William. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Shirley Simpson; sister, Nancy Kelly; and in-laws, Ross and Winifred Lauder. She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Dale B. and Dorothy (Evans) Tate. She married Stephen R. Garman in 1976.
