Barry L. Bowman, 82, of Duncansville, passed away Thursday at Celebration Villa of Altoona. He was born in Huntingdon, son of the late Lester and Elva (Bolinger) Bowman.
He married Mary "Ginny" Findley, who preceded him in death in 2021 after sharing 33 years of marriage.
Surviving are two daughters, Jill Cutshall and husband, Bruce, of Mapleton Depot and Michelle Bowman and fiance, Carmelo, of Duncansville; a son, Dan Bowman, and wife, Michele, in Idaho; four grandchildren: Cole, Dale, Sophia and Christopher; and a sister, Connie Woodward.
Barry graduated from Huntingdon High School in 1962 and Goldey-Beacom College with an AS degree in business administration.
He retired from PennDOT after 35 years as a Chief Real Estate Appraiser.
Barry attended St. Patrick Church in Newry.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, going to car shows and spending time with his family and friends.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 2026, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 4 p.m.
Private interment will be at Alto-Reste Park.
