Lobick, Westrick drive Highlanders

PATTON — Abby Lobick and Arianna Westrick each drove in three runs as Cambria Heights held Penn Cambria to just a single run in an 8-1 win in high school softball action on Thursday.

Lobick struck out four to earn the win.

Lobick doubled and homered for the Lady Highlanders, who improved to 4-1. Penn Cambria’s Julia Podrasky hit a solo homer in the top of the seventh for the Lady Panthers’ lone run.

LOYSBURG — Northern Bedford improved to 4-1 with a pair of wins over Southern Fulton.

In the first game, the Lady Panthers shut out Southern Fulton, 7-0, with Sarah Heck striking out seven batters. Brittany Ebersole and Sarah Bowser each drove in two runs.

In game two, Northern Bedford only gave up one run in the bottom of the first for a 10-1 win. Ebersole had four RBIs in the second game, and Sarah Bowser drove in another on her RBI triple.
