Bellwood-Antis sweeps Moshannon Valley

BELLWOOD — Led by Alexis Parson (13 service points) and Karlie Feathers (11 service points), Bellwood-Antis swept visiting Moshannon Valley, 25-9, 25-19, 25-15, in high school volleyball.

Bella Kies had four aces for the Lady Devils, Sydney Lechner had 18 assists, and Cameron Mercer and Sakeria Haralson had seven kills each, with Mercer adding five blocks and Haralson four.

TYRONE — Emily Fusco had 14 kills, six digs and two aces to help Tyrone defeat Clearfield, 20-25, 25-20, 25-15, 25-22.

Mattie Cherry had 24 assists and three aces for the Lady Eagles.

Good night for Goodling

PATTON — Kylee Goodling recorded a triple-double with 13 kills, 10 digs and 10 service points to go along with a pair of blocks to key Bishop Guilfoyle’s 25-20, 18-25, 25-19, 25-22 Laurel Highlands Conference victory at Cambria Heights.

Teresa Haigh also had 10 kills for the Lady Marauders to go along with two blocks, while Pam Lund and Beth Yahner came up with eight and seven kills, respectively. Lund also had 10 service points, while Alicia Nicolini collected 11, Emily Brown made 10 digs, and Gabby Krug dished out 43 assists.

Olivia Conrad and Charlotte Farabaugh keyed Heights with 13 kills and 22 digs, respectively. Conrad also had nine service points, and Nicole McCombie recorded 32 assists.

BC downs Panthers

CRESSON — Maddie Murphy collected 10 service points, eight kills and six blocks, while Mara Yahner chipped in with seven kills and six blocks to power Bishop Carroll to a 25-22, 13-25, 25-17, 25-22 victory at Penn Cambria.

Kayla Repko added 30 assists and 10 service points for the Lady Huskies, who also received seven kills and eight service points from Kate Yahner, and 13 service points from Anna Haigh. Makalyn Clapper fronted Penn Cambria with 16 kills, nine blocks and 13 digs, while Kylie Guzic made 12 digs, Laken Guzic handed out 26 assists, and Macy Sral served up 15 points.

Lady Spikers fall

In spite of Kenzie Kirwin’s 12 kills, Altoona dropped a 25-20, 26-24, 26-24 to visiting Punxsutawney at the AAHS Fieldhouse.

Ireland McClellan came up with seven blocks for the Lady Spikers, while Kaila Clawson made 23 digs, and Emily Albright registered 16 assists. Punxsy’s Leah Miller collected 12 kills and three blocks.

Everett leads Hollidaysburg

MILL HALL — Lindsay Everett scored 21 service points, had 14 digs and five aces for Hollidaysburg, which defeated Central Mountain 25-23, 25-17, 25-27, 25-14.

Claire Sauerland added 12 digs and nine kills for the Lady Tigers, while Mackenzie Reed had 25 assists, 10 digs and seven kills, Eden Taddei had 20 digs and seven kills, and Alexis Keagy had 11 digs and five kills.

Hollidaysburg improved to 3-2 while Central Mountain slipped to 2-4.

EBENSBURG — Abbie Young had 23 digs, seven aces and 19 service points as Central Cambria defeated Forest Hills, 25-12, 19-25, 25-16, 25-11.

Emily Muffie had 14 service points for the Lady Devils, while Jenna Bauer had 16 kills, Liz Bopp added 12 kills, and Leah Bracken had 34 assists.

Hannah Sivi had 20 assists for Forest Hills, and Maddie Cecere had 12 digs.
