Karlene Joy Hite

She was born in Altoona, daughter of Jack and Linda (John) Neff. On Nov. 20, 1993, she married Robert Scott Hite.

Surviving are her husband of 23 years; a stepson, Andrew Hite and wife, Stephanie, of Altoona; four grandchildren: Makayla, Makale, Alyssa and Adam; three great-grandchildren; her parents; three brothers: David Neff of Hollidaysburg, Matt Neff and wife, Tricia, of Ashburg, Va., and Dan Neff of Hollidaysburg; a sister, Lew Ann Knouse and husband, Dwight, of Altoona; six nieces; a great-niece; a great-nephew; and many wonderful close friends.

Karlene was a Christian wife and lived a very spiritual life. She attended both Calvary Baptist Church and Grace Bible Church. She worked as a preschool assistant for Calvary Baptist Church.

She was a member of Lakemont Lions Club and Blair County Association of the Blind. She enjoyed sign language and reading Braille. She also enjoyed playing the piano and was an artist and painter.

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at Grace Bible Church, Hollidaysburg, and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service, Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, at the church, Pastor Daren Ritchey officiating. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata.
