There is no indication of foul play for a vehicle fire along the 7000 block of Kettle Road in Tyrone Township involving two parked tractor trailers Sunday morning, according to Sinking Valley Volunteer Fire Company Assistant Chief Andy Harpster.
Harpster said crews were called to the scene about 7:19 a.m. Both vehicles are total losses, he said, but the adjacent shop building the trucks were parked next to was unscathed from the fire.
The trucks are believed to have caught fire because of electrical issues, but State Police Fire Marshal Cpl. Scott Swasing said the incident is still being investigated while they await answers from an insurance company.
"We don't think they were the victims of any type of crime," Swasing said.
Harpster said, in addition to AMED, they were assisted by Excelsior, Pinecroft, Tyrone Blazing Arrow, Tyrone Neptune and Greenwood fire departments. Bald Eagle Volunteer Fire Department was on standby, he said.
He said they were able to knock the fire down quickly before crews returned about 9:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
